SoCommon is an artistic project working with the traces of human presence.
It begins from a simple tension:
contact is constant, while presence does not always arrive.
The works move through rooms, surfaces and ordinary objects where something human can still be felt, even when no person is shown.
A human being
can be felt
without being seen.
method
SoCommon uses image, text, stillness and optional sound.
The images are not documents of specific people. They are built as traces: a bed after sleep, a window after rain, a surface after being wiped, a machine still running.
The project does not try to explain absence.
It looks at what remains.
